Project:
Low Line Commons
Client:
Delivered while working for Better Bankside

Valerie oversaw the commissioning and delivery of the award winning Low Line Commons strategy while working at Better Bankside.

She secured a six-figure philanthropic grant award from Lund Trust and worked closely with them and the Low Line Steering Group to shape the design brief and run the international design competition with RIBA competitions.

Valerie managed the winning team (PDP Studio working with Greengage, MacFarlane+Assocs and Studio 4125) and oversaw the development of the subsequent strategic document, Low Line Commons, which sets out an overarching vision for embedding ecology and  sustainability at the heart of the Low Line.

Low Line Commons was overall winner of the New London Architecture Awards 2021, Best in Planning, New London Architecture Awards 2022 and won a Pineapple Award for Future Place in 2023.
