Delivered working for Better Bankside

Originally conceived for an ideas competition by a local resident, while working for Better Bankside Valerie nurtured the development of the Low Line concept, establishing the Low Line Partnership and the Friends of the Low Line. 

From 2014-2022 she managed the day to day running of the Low Line Partnership and oversaw the business case development and delivery of a £2m package of works 'Crossing the Line' funded through the Mayor of London's Good Growth Fund.

Through this funding a range of strategic studies and exemplar capital projects were commissioned with Low Line partner organisations.  These include the adaptive reuse of arches designed by TDO (now New-Works) and America Street / Ewer Street public realm improvements designed by JA Projects as well as the multiple-award winning Low Line Commons led by Studio PDP.
