Project:
Neasden Town Centre Placemaking and Sustainability Action Plan
Client:
London Borough of Brent

Working with Sanchez Benton Architects, Rumi Bose and Concept Culture, Where Pathways Meet were commissioned by the London Borough of Brent to produce a Placemaking and Sustainability Action Plan for Neasden Town Centre, to support the development of a strategic funding application to the Greater London Authority’s Civic Partnership Programme.

Developed through meaningful engagement with the local community, a strategic vision and action plan has set out a road map to transform Neasden Town Centre into a thriving neighbourhood.

The Placemaking and Sustainability Action Plan sets out a suite of actions, initiatives and projects that can be co-authored, co-designed and co-delivered throughout 2024-27 to support the overarching vision to achieve a fairer, safer, greener, healthier, connected and more diverse Neasden.

Where Pathways Meet identified opportunities for weaving green infrastructure into the proposals through a creative and robust suite of short, medium and long term interventions. We also acted as critical friend as the final report took shape, identifying edits to strengthen the narrative and layout.

In August 2024 the Mayor of London awarded LB Brent £3.1m of Civic Partnership Programme to deliver the first phase of works outlined in the action plan.
